07 - Ally or Enemy

The journey has been long, but they are finally at their destination – Whitewater City, to find the legendary surgeon. Whitewater City is the second largest city in the Digital World – the first being Terminal City. This city is very different compare to the first largest city – it’s busy, yes, but filled with entertainments, joys, and laughter. The whole city is energetic and – literally – never sleeps. They could party the whole night, as if every single day, every single hour, every single minute and seconds are festivals. It is so different from the other city, which is busy with works, serious business, pressures… and it just makes you uneasy and out of place. This city, however, welcomes you thoroughly with their best hotels, beaches, and services.

As soon as they reached the city, various Digimons came to greet them and introduce them to different hotels – as they seemed weary and torn and tattered (from the previous battle). The misfit group accepted the services, and they were surprised at the extra service of “Clothes Repair Shop”. Instead of using new clothes to patch them back, they use a very special nanomachine to let the clothes to “repair themselves”, and the result will be like how it was in the first place. The three humans were eager to try it out – and to their joy, their clothes were back to brand new!

How come Terminal City doesn’t have this?

They reached the hotel, and were greeted warmly by the workers there. They helped with anything they needed them to carry – which they don’t right at the moment – and brought them into their specific rooms. The Tailmons were really friendly (unlike those in Terminal City) and easy-going, agrees with a lot of things and did not force any rules or regulations onto them. They gave them their best services (even though this is not the best hotel in the Whitewater City) and allowed a lot of freedom as long as they do not wreck the whole place down or injure anyone. They treat every customers as their own friends, but with respects.

The Tailmons in Terminal City? Nah.

After they have gained enough rest for the first day, they started to search around for the famous surgeon in the city – Mahogana the Sepikmon. It wasn’t hard to get the information, as almost everyone KNEW this guy. However, to get to his place, is a bit… hard.

He lives in the Binary Archipelago, in the largest island that might have a dormant volcano.

They asked for transports, which they gladly supply… with a fee, of course. They had a Whamon to send them across the sea – which they all sat on top of his head. They enjoyed the view of the sea, and even laughed when some sort of bird Digimon ran over Kuro’s head, and nearly pushed him down the water. In front of them is the Binary Archipelago, which is made of a series of islands – curiously shaped like ones and zeroes. It was said to that this is the most ideal place for vacation and relaxation, throughout the whole Digital World. The sun was always smiling brightly at them and the beautiful waves were always waving at them.

Finally, they reached the largest island of the Binary Archipelago. They dropped off the Whamon, and start to ask around for direction – well, it’s no surprise that there’s a lot of people around here for relaxation are also the residents. The residents were happy to help, and even offered to bring them there.

“Mahogana is a very weird man,” Seirenmon – one of the weirdest Digimon that they have ever seen, as they could not make sense whether if this is a bird, a fish, an angel, or just a humanoid Digimon in some sort of wacky outfit. She was the one that lead them there with a chirpy attitude, telling them tales about this island and the city itself (even though they didn’t ask anything), then she decided to talk about Mahogana. “He rarely came out. But when he does… BOOM! Everyone wants him! I’m not sure if it’s because he’s filthy rich, or just handsome.”

How can a monkey-Digimon under a huge voodoo mask be handsome?

“Well, not much people have seen him beneath that huuuuuge mask before… but those that did? Holycrap! They fell in love with him, immediately! I wished to see him under the mask too… who knows if he’s a very good looking young man… But I’m slightly older than he is. I wonder if that’s okay with him… Oh, but all of the guys I’ve fallen are all youngsters. Ohohoho~ I hope none of them cared about my age and only cared about my looks! Tehehe~”

Okay, this conversation is getting weirder and weirder.

Soon, after listening to the weird facts about the Seirenmon herself, they finally reached a… mansion.

A huge. Freaking. MANSION.

It made most of them to drop their jaws, as they never expected a monkey would live in a MANSION.

And what was more shocking was… an actual doctor with a large voodoo-mask came out to answer the doorbell.

“Hey Mahogana! There people are here to see you!”

“Oh, thanks Suirin. I appreciate that.”

“Oh, that’s nothing… By the way, when can I co-”

“Please, come in you guys,” The “Sepikmon” welcomed the misfit group with… a welcoming gesture (it was a wonder if it was a smile underneath the mask… or a frown or something because of the Seirenmon). “I’m sorry Suirin, but I have guests. Could we talk next time?”

“Sure! Of course! I’ll leave you to your work! Bye~”

“Good bye.”

As the misfit group walked into the mansion – which is surprisingly grand, beautiful, neat, and clean. It wasn’t something that some monkeys will live in… But, they assume that this isn’t a normal monkey.

“So, are you… the Dragon Bearers?”

The first question was pretty obvious.

“Yes… well, we don’t go by that title. Only she is,” Sora referred to the redhead behind him, who awkwardly stood out and looked at the “doctor”. It was not very surprising that the doctor already knew who they are, but the problem is...

Will he be an enemy, or an ally?

“Hmm…” The doctor began to examine her – visually – before he took by the arm of the human girl gently, and looked into the ruby. “Right. It is this one alright. Sigh…

“As you all know should have know, I’m Mahogana, a professional surgeon for any sorts of creatures,” The doctor began to introduce himself towards the group of people. “I specialize in Digimon Physics and Biology.”

The misfit group nodded towards him, wonder if he will go to somewhere from this.

“Based on my professionalism, this… Might not be good, and it will require a big surgery,” Mahogana continued as he saw the group reacted to his speech. “There will be risks that the arm of this human girl will be damaged, and the price for this was not cheap either.”

“How much was it?” Sora asked.

“…At least five hundred thousand bits.”

“FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND BITS?!”

“Well, that would be the normal price that I would offer to my customers… however,” He looked at Akira. “You’re special. Your existence could endanger the whole Digital World – which is crucial. But, to finish the surgery without earning a single penny, I would still require two hundred and fifty thousand bits.”

“…that’s just… half of the price, isn’t it?”

“In a sense, that’s correct,” Mahogana looked at Minoru through the eerie mask. “But the previous price is not fixed. This is fixed.”

“Hmm…” Sora calculated a while in his brain. “We do not have the right amount of money… Can we pay half in advance and pay you the rest later?”

“It is impossible,” Mahogana shook his head. “I must buy the materials and equipments suitable for this surgery, and since this is a very rare case, I did not stock up on the necessary stuffs that I require.”

“Cheh, you should have done that when you know we’re coming…”

“Kuro, shut up.”

“Well then,” Enjin started to speak. “I guess we do not have the right amount of money at the moment. Maybe we’ll come back another day.”

“Of course.”

Disappointed at the high price, the group left the mansion and went back to their hotel. They tried to ask around for jobs, but none of them seemed to give them a lot of money.

“It will take a while…”

The group sighed in defeat.

They started to work in various places – pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, and even joined competition to win the prizes. They managed to gather some of them within a week, but it was still not enough.

What’s worse was the pirates started to attack the archipelago and took the surgeon away.

“GIVE ME TEN MILLION BITS OR I’LL KILL HIM! YOU HAVE TWO DAYS!!! HAHAHAHAHA!”

Knowing that the surgeon is a famous guy, a lot of people will want to keep him around because he is one of the main reasons why they are having so much business right now. People started to gather money, but not the misfit group – they NEEDED the money. And thanks to this event, the guy that promised them payment decided to hold it back, and none of the people were hiring anymore.

However, there was also a group that was not gathering money at all.

“Rather than paying them with our money, why don’t we take on them?”

“It’s impossible, Aria!”

“Yeah, haven’t you heard? Captain Hook has a new pet!”

New pet?

“Yeah! That Aegisdramon! It’s a SUPER MEGA for god’s sake! None of us here can take on a SUPER MEGA!!!”

“But… With our strength, maybe…!”

“Forget about it, Aria!”

“Yeah!”

The Meimaimon seemed to be disappointed with the residents of the city and the archipelago. Why they don’t have enough guts to save the surgeon?! If they were a bit braver…

“Excuse me.”

“Who?”

She turned around, and found a tall blonde guy in front of him – it’s Sora.

“Hi, my name is Sora. Are you looking for people to take on the pirates?”

“Y-Yeah! Yes, I am!”

“Well…” He looked behind at the misfit group, then back to her. “We’re pretty strong, but we’re in need of some money to safe our friend. If you could pay us some money, I guess we can help you to defeat them.”

“Hmmm…” The Mermaimon was deep in thoughts. This is a very good opportunity to take on the pirates once and for all! They will not be threatened or harassed by the pirates anymore, and as a bonus, they don’t need to bankrupt! “Is hundred thousand ok for you?”

H-H-H-H-Hundred THOUSAND!

This nearly made Sora gaped with surprise, but he was an elegant man and that would definitely destroy his image. He quickly remained composure after showing a little bit of surprise. “Let me discuss with my teammates for a while.”

He went behind to the group, and talked of something. Suddenly, everyone’s eyes went big and yelled: “HUNDRED THOUSAND?!” Soon, they settled down and came to an agreement.

“W-Was it too little-” Fearing that they would not take the job, the Mermaimon wanted to offer a higher price.

“Nonono! Of course not. That would be enough for us,” Sora seemed to be pretty happy: With a shine on his face – and everyone in his team. “We will be glad to take on the pirates, even if it costs our lives… well, my teammate said.”

“T-There’s no need to cost your lives! But…” The Mermaimon was very grateful. “Thank you, kind adventurers.”

“It’s our pleasure.”

= = =

With a signed contract and feeling guaranteed that this large sum of money WILL go into their pocket, they depart for the pirate’s cove, with some help from the Meimaimon – well, they can’t battle in water, and most of them can’t swim, so… yeah. They were also given some items for easier water battle – for example, a sugar that will allow them to breathe underwater for some while, and a special stuck-on pad that will cover them with a small barrier that allows them to move underwater easier. It didn’t take them long to find the enemy’s hideout, immediately, they started their plan.

*BOOM!*

It started off with an electric nuke (dubbed by the team) by the RizeGreymon. It caused a huge impact to the ocean floor as most of the pirate’s henchmen were damaged severely by their weakness – thunder. A few Digimons were seen floating by the sea’s surface because of the damage – they have taken out a MegaSeadramon, a Seadramon, an Ebidramon, and an Anomalocarimon. This eased the group to make way and get past the first waves of enemies, before the second came forth and struck them down. However, before that happened, Aria’s team rushed forth and kept them occupied.

“Don’t forget your mission! Save the surgeon and defeat Captain Hook!”

She gave them the last warning before gathering her team to fight against the opponent’s team. She had a Plesiomon, a Tylomon X and a Seahomon on her side, while the opponent team has a few Divermon, a Dragon, and a MarineDevimon. It was a balanced and matched fight, and it seemed like they will be having a hard time breaking away from Aria’s clutches.

As the main rescue team moved forward, they came across a MetalPiranimon, welcoming them with its large jaw full of metal fangs. Immediately, the Pukumon from their side rushed forth and gave a good punch towards its metal head, sending it spinning in the sea with its unbalanced body. Despite its small size, he seemed pretty capable in fighting against such Digimon that’s at least ten-times of his own body size. The team took the chance to move forward in the air, and finally, they came across a gigantic monster in front of them.

It’s the legendary Aegisdramon.

“HA-HA-HA!” On top of the Aegisdramon was CaptainHookmon, and the one beside them was the surgeon Sepikmon. “It’s so nice to see you here! I thought I’d never get a chance to try on my newfound baaaaaby…” The Aegisdramon growled in response, as its red eyes stared at the misfit group… emotionlessly. “Hohoho~ You seemed eager to fight them eh? Very well… Show them your power Aegisdramon! By the command of the great Captain Hook and this pendant!”

He took out something that made the group gasped in surprise – it was a Dragon’s Tear! Like the one in Akira’s hand!

“Where did you get that?!” Enjin immediately scowled and asked the pirate captain, however, it seemed that he’s too late and the Aegisdramon has already started to attack. His eyes, right now, were filled with rage. Instead of fighting with the armaments that he had, the Aegisdramon was rushing at them with his claws and tails.

Of course, this gave an upper hand for the strategic Sora to think up for a plan.

“Shiro, Kuro, coordinate with each other like how you did with the Puppetmon. Enjin, try to stay as close to Kuro and coordinate with him. I shall remain here with Shiro and coordinate with him. Remember – our opponent is a Super Mega. Stay out of its attack at MOST TIMES.”

“Got it!”

Shiro – with Minoru on his shoulders – prepared all his beams and cannons, ready to cover for Kuro and Enjin as they moved closer to the Aegisdramon. Sora – with Akira on his back – opened all his available pods and ready for a chance to launch them all after the first melees’ impact. The Aegisdramon didn’t even try to defend himself – he just kept on attacking, while getting pushed back by the four Ultimates. Kuro was hitting him hard on the face, while Enjin was fighting with Captain Hook in his attempt to rescue the surgeon. Shiro kept on shooting beams and shells at the weaponaries on the right side, while Sora did the same towards the left – both attempt to paralyze the movements of the humongous Digimon, or at least refrain him from using his weapons.

Captain Hook – instead of fighting the Glademon head-on – grabbed the Sepikmon with one arm and tried to get away from the golden warrior. Noticing that his chances were flat as the Aegisdramon was being attacked by those pesky Ultimates, the captain finally got angry.

“Grrr…! Baby! You’re not doing a good job! Come on, shake these pesky Digimons off and use your laser beams against them!!!”

With his command, the Aegisdramon finally did something different. First, he managed to retaliate against Kuro’s attack with a swing of his large lightning horn – sending the Ultimate fighter flying away. He easily shrugged off the ice and the lightning attacks at his weaponaries, while he started to charge up and shoot barrages of missiles against the two ranged fighter. Realizing the Glademon was still on top of his back, he swung his large tail and swiped him off from his back. Captain Hook came back and face them with a haughty laugh, as his Aegisdramon majestically hovered in the air as if no harms were done against him before.

Realizing the he could not escape the beams that the Aegisdramon was going to fire at them, Sora decided to sacrifice Shiro and took Minoru away from him in his Stingmon form. The RizeGreymon was a bit surprised, but he understood that this is for the best. Instead of running away with the insect Digimon, the RizeGreymon moved forth and used his last strength to intercept as many missiles and beams that he could, in order for the Stingmon to get away safely.

“SHIRO!!!”

Minoru was screaming at the white dinosaur, and he could only watch him being bombarded mercilessly by the overwhelming golden dragon. The RizeGreymon dedigivolved into WhiteAgumon soon, and was caught in time by his twin brother in a nick of time right before he dropped into the sea.

“URYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”

The black dinosaur was a little bit angry at this, even though he somehow understood that it was inevitable for this to happen to them. Instead, he brought the WhiteAgumon with him and went forth again to the Aegisdramon once more, in attempt to defeat him with his raging fire.

“TRIDENT ARM! VERSION TEN!!!”

His metal claw was enlarged into a very huge size – a monstrous size that was thrice larger and usual and even larger than his body itself! Ignoring the incoming beams and missiles – he couldn’t dodge them in this state anyway – he swung the gigantic claw as fast and powerful as he could towards the Aegisdramon. He sustained a lot of damages in the process, but he managed to make a crack on the golden armor with his metal claw, before the damages took an unbearable toll on his body and he dedigivolved back to his BlackAgumon state – dropping his white counterpart along with him. The Glademon appeared in time and grabbed them away, while noticing that this opponent was nothing that they could handle at their stage. He made his way back to Sora – who’s semi-retreating and hiding behind some large stone.

This opponent is too strong. If only I have the strength of a Mega, I could at least finish what Kuro has done at him. But how could I get the strength of a Mega? As far as I knew about Spirit Users, they sought for the spirits to get into higher levels… but there were also some that does not do that – they fused their spirits together and gain a new, powerful form that equals to one of a Mega. But how do I… How do I…?

“Sora!” The Glademon finally reached them. “We need to retreat! The enemy’s too strong for us to handle! Let’s group with Aria’s team and figure out a way to defeat him!”

“…no. You go and do that.”

The Spirit User decided to do something very extreme. After giving the two humans towards the Glademon – which made everyone curious at what on earth was he planning – he flew up to the air.

“WAIT! SORA-SAN! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!”

“I want to try… something.”

Dismissing Minoru’s screams about he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt anymore and tried to persuade him to come back, the Stingmon flew into the air, and exposed himself in front of the Aegisdramon.

“Ho… are you buying them some time? Well, BAD LUCK FOR YOU! ‘cause Aegisdramon definitely will DESTROY THEM!!!”

Sora ignored the maniacal laughter of the captain, while focusing on his spirits.

What if… he used two spirits to evolve at the same time?

He opened his eyes, and decided to try out this theory in mind. He released his Digimon form in mid-air, and – as everyone was screaming for him right before he drop to the ocean – he brought up his D-Tector and covered his hand with numerous circles of datas. Akira watched as the human crossed out the datas and it covered his whole body, which the data egg grew larger and larger.

In the spirit evolution sequence, the two spirits started to overpower each other, and slowly, they overlapped each other and fused together into the young adult’s body at once. The two spirits granted the young man’s body a new form – with MetallifeKuwagamon’s base and Searchmon’s strength – Sora transformed into a larger, humanoid insectoid with a golden body and dual blades. There was no reminder of the Searchmon, but undeniably, the Lightning Insect Beast Spirit’s power was within him.

TigerVespamon.

“W-What… the heck?!” The CaptainHookmon was a bit surprised to see this happening in front of him – not that he never seen a human digivolve into a Digimon before, but a human actually reached a stage higher than the usual two stages! “N-Never mind this! Aegisdramon, show him your full power – what you’re capable of!!!”

The golden dragon howled and sent barrages of beams and missiles against the golden insect – who swiftly passed by all of the attacks with his elegant and rapid movements, arriving right in front of the Aegisdramon with his dual blades. The Aegisdramon immediately aimed a lot of beams at him at close-range – it was nearly impossible to dodge all of them at once. However, the golden insect has a new technique that could help him with this:

“Gear Stinger.”

His wings let out a burst of energy as it propelled himself forward in a tremendous speed. The beams not only missed their target, but they let the TigerVespamon to come close to the crack that the MetalGreymon X has created just now. He impaled it using his dual-blades with the full force from the burst of speed, and it created large hole in the armor – albeit it seemed not much based on the Aegisdramon’s full body mass. It did not pain the Super Mega dragon at all, and he just moved forward to tackle the TigerVespamon off from his body after the attack – with the dual blades stuck on the hole and the golden insect being based away from the Aegisdramon. It damaged the Fusion Spirit more than the Super Mega.

Still, this made his first stage succeeded.

Knowing what he was capable of, he once again challenged the incoming beams and missiles using his other technique: “Royal Meister.” While in the air, he started to dance – gracefully. It calmed his mind down and increased his reaction time and sensors, enabling him to see the attacks in slow-motion – despite the Aegisdramon seemed to be able to capture his movements more accurately after the first attempt. Truly, the Aegisdramon was a dangerous opponent, had he not been in the control of the idiotic Captain Hook. Aegisdramon only reacted with the simple commands of the pirate captain, and does nothing else even though he’s capable of doing so – which he finally did it under the captain’s command: “Show him what you’re capable of”. Sora captured the weakness of the mind-control, and did not waste time with the beams and missiles.

He reached the same weak-point again and swiftly shoved in a small needle – the “Harm Stinger”. Satisfied with it, he quickly flew upwards to find the captain before the Aegisdramon realized why – it seemed the Aegisdramon really felt NOTHING about the hole of his armor – which is good since Sora NEEDED that.

For his tactic to work out.

“KRAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!”

The Aegisdramon let out a yell as a large lightning jolt surged from the needle, electrifying his whole body. It managed to paralyze his movements – as he was originally a sea-creature and his body is fully electric conductive – he couldn’t bring himself to lift the weaponaries to attack the intruder to his back. However, due to the fact that he’s a superior staged Digimon, the effect probably won’t last long (in Sora’s theory). So, without wasting time, he reached the back and found the pirate captain… who’s using the Sepikmon as a hostage right now.

“D-D-Don’t come any closer! O-O-Or I’ll kill him!!!”

“…is that really wise, Captain Hook?” Sora crossed his hands – his dual blades on his sides. “Look, if you kill him, there’s no more money for you. If you kill him, then I will destroy that pendant of yours. If you kill him, then I will capture you and let everyone else to release their vengeance on you. So… think again Captain Hook – is that wise?”

“Y-Y-Y-You fool…!” The captain gritted his teeth while thinking of a way to leave this situation – fortunately for him, the Aegisdramon started to move a bit. H-Heh, if I can stay for a bit longer, I can wait for Aegisdramon and this guy will DIE! “I… D-D-Do you think that I will surrender to you that easily?!”

“…there’s no use to buy time, captain,” The TigerVespamon attempted to move forward, but noticed the anchor on the captain’s hand was closer to the Sepikmon’s neck – whom still miraculously had the mask with him. Throughout the whole event, the Sepikmon said nothing – but he’s alive, TigerVespamon knew that, because his heat sensors were forever online. He noticed that the Sepikmon’s tail was moving – as if it’s giving him some hints or instructions. He seemed to be pointing at the pendant, and told him to destroy it.

Should he follow his advice? But… he has no ‘Dragon Slayer’! Could he really…?

“HMPH! I will kill him if you come any closer, boy!!!” The anchor was really threatening the life of the Sepikmon right now, and the Aegisdramon was rumbling more. Sepikmon’s tail was moving vigorously, as if he’s telling Sora that there’s not much time left.

Fine then.

“I shall bear no consequences.”

“W-What?!”

Immediately, the TigerVespamon gained a burst of speed and pierced at the CaptainHookmon’s pendant – which shattered upon contact and red volts consumed the Aegisdramon. The golden dragon let out a raging roar, and started to shake everyone off from his back. Captain Hook let go of the Sepikmon in order to cling onto the Aegisdramon – though he failed in doing so, while the TigerVespamon quickly reacted and rescued the Sepikmon… along with capturing the Captain – thinking that he might provide them some answers regarding the Dragon’s Tear.

The Aegisdramon was pretty mad, but instead of attacking them, he flew off from the ocean and went into somewhere else. It gave them a sigh of relieve since Sora knew that it was not going to be easy to hold onto two Digimons in his arms and fight the Super Mega. The CaptainHookmon was still trying to struggle, until the Mermaimon pointed her trident at him.

“You! How dare you kidnap the surgeon!!!”

“Yeah!!! Let me at him!”

“P-P-Please dear Lord Spirit User! D-Don’t let them do that! I-I-I’ll do ANYTHING for you!!!” The pirate captain pleaded for mercy from the insectoid Spirit… who agreed with an eerie smile behind the mask…

= = =

Sora managed to get enough information from the pirate captain. It seemed that he bought the Dragon’s Tear from some DemiDevimon, who delivered them specifically from the Dark Area. It was not cheap, yet not as expensive compare to the costs of the pendant’s delivery. This caused the group to think that the Dark Area might be somewhere that someone would want this piece of Dragon’s Tear in Akira’s palm, and that the “Dragon’s Tear” that was used and easily destroyed by Sora just no was…

“It’s just a fake one.”

“What?!”

“How did you know?!”

The misfit party was surprised that the surgeon was able to confirm that with them – and of course he kind of knew it, otherwise he wouldn’t tell Sora to destroy it. The question is...

“How? Well… I have my own source of information,” The surgeon chuckled, before bringing them into the mansion after all those troubles. CaptainHookmon was finally in the Whitewater City’s custody, and with their captain gone, the pirate activities have gone much lower than before. To thank them, of course, Aria paid huge bucks to them, which allowed them to pay for the surgery… well, Akira’s going through the surgery alone, of course.

After seating them and make them comfortable – a bit, maybe – the Sepikmon started to talk. “You know, by saving my life, obviously I would have make this free for you guys.”

“FOR SERIOUS?!”

“Of course, if I can do the surgery that is.”

What?

“…wait,” Sora lifted his glasses a little bit. “You mean you can’t perform a surgery on her?!”

“That’s right.”

“Then what’s the point in making us to do all these works?!”

“There’s a reason behind it, obviously,” Mahogana smiled with his eyes, while taking his own cup of coffee and sat down in front of them. “Firstly, you should know that none of the surgeons would have performed a surgery on this case – or rather, they couldn’t. The ‘Dragon’s Tear’ is not extractable by this method. The ruby that was embed in her palm was connected to her life force and core directly – no matter where is it. If anyone attempted to destroy or remove the ruby by force, it would trigger its self-defense system and cause unwanted results like…” He looked at the redhead. “…turning in a dragon. Or death, depending on how the ruby was being damaged.”

Well, this is… unsurprising.

“So, this is to let you know that surgery is definitely not your best option here, and don’t get tricked by those that only wants your money… Well, of course, you could cut off her arm, which is possible since the ruby is not directly being involved in this case. But of course, you people would not have chosen that path, so that only leads to a final choice…” Mahogana leaned back and sipped his coffee.

“Leave it to the professionals.”

“What?!”

“After all that long talk… aren’t you a professional?”

The Sepikmon in white robes chuckled. “Well, like I said, I’m a professional surgeon for any sorts of creatures, and specialize in Digimon Physics and Biology. I am, however, not a specialist in Witchcraft and Magic, so I can’t help you out on this other than giving you some detail explanation on what will happen if I do these. Again, these information are not easily acquired - I have a source… which,” Mahogana sat up and looked at them seriously. “It brought to my second point here.

“My… source has contacted me about the Dragon Bearer before your party arrives. She personally told me to do this – open a high price and start to get you guys working, to gather enough money to go through the next procedure, and also to reveal some dark plots behind the scene – for example, the fake Dragon’s Tear that the CaptainHookmon owned.”

Huh.

“So, what you mean is,” Shiro raised his eyebrow. “You want us to realize something from this?”

“Correct,” The Sepikmon smiled. “I can’t tell you more – since she didn’t tell me anything else other than this – so it’ll be up to you guys to think about all of these. Now, it brings me to the next point…

“You guys are to go to the City of Luminas.”

“…WHAT?!”
